E-Card FAQs
On April 15, 2007 we did a major upgrade to the e-cards. There are LOTS more features for you now - your own personal address book, being able to save and view the cards you've sent, set up holiday and birthday reminders, and more. It is also a lot easier to sign up and get instant access to the cards.
Existing e-card subscribers:
Your old user name & password still work - you don't need to change a thing. The FIRST time you sign in to the upgraded system, you'll be asked to provide a little more information for your user profile. This information is needed for using the extra new features, like birthday reminders. All the information is confidential, securely stored, won't be used for anything else, and even we can't access it. You can update your profile information anytime by clicking on the "My Account" button at the top of all the e-card pages.
New Subscribers:
(NOTE: You WILL need a PayPal user name to subscribe. We don't like this any more than you do, but for inexplicable reasons PayPal can't handle subscriptions unless you've got a PayPal login. You CAN still use a credit card for your e-card subscription payment ($19.98 a year for unlimited access.) Creating a PayPal login is easy and is integrated into the e-card subscription process.)
Folks, this is actually pretty easy - the new card system is vastly improved. But we've provided a detailed step-by-step below for additional guidance.
1. Start Here: http://www.greatcosmichappyass.com/greetings/index.php (the main e-cards page)
2. Click on the Join Now button at the top right of the page.
3. You'll see a screen that looks like this (screenshot 1). Click on the PayPal button.
4. The next screen looks like this (screenshot 2.) Select your payment method, and click on the Continue button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Assuming you selected "No PayPal account, use my credit card", the next screen you see is this
(screenshot 3.) This is where you enter your email address and a password for PayPal purposes only. (Save this information somewhere safe.) Hit the Continue button at the bottom.
6. The next screen is PayPal asking you to confirm your payment (screenshot 4). Click the Pay button.
5. The final payment page looks like this (screenshot 5.) Click the Return to Merchant button.
6. IMPORTANT. At this point you need to look in your email Inbox for an email from info@greatcosmichappyass.com that contains a special link for creating your E-Cards Login. You'll only need to do this once. This email SHOULD show up immediately... but some email programs, especially AOL, can cause delays.
The email you're looking for will look like this:

Please go here to sign up for your eCard account. (Below will appear as a link in your email.){Long link name will be here}

7. Follow the link. The next thing you'll see is this (screenshot 6) Where you're been taken to page at Cosmic E-Cards to create your E-CARD USERNAME AND PASSWORD. You only need to do it once. Please save your username and password in a safe place. You'll be asked to fill out some additional information. Only the username and password are required, the rest is optional, but it will help you use the extra e-card features such as address book, reminders, archiving your sent cards, etc. When creating user names and passwords, please use only letters and numbers - no spaces or puctuation marks please! (All this information is confidential, secure, and even we can't access it.) Hit the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
8. Your're done and you're in! The next screen looks like this (screenshot 7) and you are ready to send cards and use all the features.

Why Subscriptions?
Great Cosmic E-Cards are available on a subscription basis because they're a premium item. You can do as many e-cards as you want for an entire year, for only $19.98.
Is subscribing safe? What do you do with my subscriber information?
It is absolutely safe and secure. Payment for subscribing is handled through PayPal, and the entire process is handled on a Secure Server. Your payment information is never emailed anywhere, nor is it stored anywhere. Please read our Privacy & Security page for more details.
Do you automatically add me to your e-mailing list?
NO, we do not. If you subscribe for premium e-cards, you will be ASKED if you would like to receive our monthly newsletter or other announcements such a specials and discounts. We send out our newsletters using a "double opt-in" method, which means that a)we obey the anti-spam laws scrupulously and b)you CAN safely unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, no strings attached.
